Jump in with RUN!

There are innumerable ways to make an impact in God’s kingdom. There are places for the seasoned racial justice warrior and the person who is just beginning to explore what is means that God loves everyone. Joining a RUN Ministry Team or becoming a R.U.N. Champion may be one of those ways.

PERSONAL GROWTH TEAM

The Personal Growth (PG) is responsible for creatively identifying and resourcing growth pathways with consideration given to a range of developmental stages to equip believers to grow in racial awareness, lamentation/confession/repentance, and advocacy.

INSTITUTIONAL GROWTH TEAM

The Institutional Growth (IG) is responsible for encouraging our own pastors and ministry leaders toward Spirit-led transformation that strengthens church commitment (at the church leadership/culture level) to racial reconciliation, justice, and oneness in Christ.

EQUIPPING THE CHURCH COMMUNITY TEAM

The Equipping the Church Community (ECC) is responsible to create awareness among the CityChurch about the sins of racism and provide resources to help other city churches to have transformative conversations about race and racism.

PUBLIC ADVOCACY TEAM

The Public Advocacy (PA) is responsible for fostering a Church-united, Spirit-filled, visible/audible, prayerful presence in the Centre Region for justice, to create support; and to boldly, compassionately promote Christ-centered solutions to racial justice issues.

PRAYER TEAM

The Prayer Team (PT) is responsible to foster prayer as the foundation of all the other teams and the RUN ministry as a whole, as well as to initiate and lead overall prayer initiatives.

LEADERSHIP TEAM

The RUN Leadership Team will consist of the five Team Leaders plus four more members who will serve by providing overall leadership, vision, training of Team Leaders, and general oversight. These four roles will be Leader, Assistant Leader, Secretary, and Communications.

R.U.N. CHAMPIONS

RUN Champions are unable to serve on a RUN ministry team but do commit to spread the word about RUN events and attend and/or volunteer for RUN activities when available. They seek to deepen their own racial awareness and encourage others along the journey to engage in racial reconciliation.
